Animation
You know the drill. Laptops out yer bag. Belts off, liquids, phone, check, check. Now let’s add some character to that, because while having a practical function there’s always room for some personality to disrupt the mundane.
We were commissioned to design a suite of characters with a distinct personality to act almost as a pastiche of the laborious process of queuing in security. The animation has run in Departures for years and brings a smile to that moment of tension pre-holiday or business travel.
All of the characters had considered expressions and even the devices had their own hint of humour. The client was great in allowing us to express our ideas and was brave enough to sign-off, even though the superiors wanted something a little more serious. Nah.
We’re not weird, we’re limited editions.
